Thursday, January 6, 2022

Well, good morning lovely knitters!  A Thursday post?  What's this?  Well, if you read my email yesterday, you likely already know.  Yup, sadly the brick and mortar store is closed for a bit to ride out this insane surge in Covid.  You were all so amazingly supportive, thoughtful, and lovely with your emails yesterday, it made me feel much better about the decision and I want to thank you so much for being in touch!

In my head, we'll probably be closed until the new cases are less than 6000 a day in MA for a few days in row.  It is still a lot, but I was open during a lot of that and felt like our normal measures were safe at that level.  I suppose that could change, but it helps me (so I thought it might help you) to have something to help determine just how long this will be.

I'll send an email the day of or the day before I'm heading in to ship, dye, and be available for pick-ups so that you can still have some yarny fun and sanity!  I was going to go in Friday, but it looks like snow, so I'm going to go in on Saturday.  If you have orders or SOS boxes to pick up, just drop me a line, and we'll arrange a pick-up.  Don't forget - when you order - you can choose pick-up or shipping!  On that note, I'm lowering the FREE shipping level to $50 or more while we are closed.  I wish it could be even less, but shipping as gotten crazy expensive and I haven't raised the shipping prices yet, and won't, at least until we are back open!

The first classes will be on Zoom (thanks to everyone being awesome, sensible and flexible!), including Clinic.  If you need a clinic time, just sign-up and I'll send you a zoom link for that time.  :)

One of the things that I'm doing on Saturday is dyeing a NEW, AMAZINGLY soft and beautiful base yarn!  This one will be introduced in our January SOS Box - so if you want to be the first to get your paws into it (and you really do!), sign up for Save Our Sanity before 1/10!!

I have lots of good yarny fun coming along, but I must confess, I wasn't super prepared for this.  I spent New Years hiding out in the house, knitting and trying to clean up Christmas fiasco - not really thinking that I might be closing again.  So, stay tuned next week for some NEW fun things!  But just as a thank you and to end with something a LITTLE more fun than the rest of this post - we're redoing our Howl for Noro discount!

I mean, all the smartest knitters (not that this includes me!) start their gifts in January, right?  So, when you buy 3 or more Howl for Noro kits, you'll automatically save 20% (no code needed).

Thank you all, again, SO much for being the best people anyone could hope to have for customers and friends!!  <3  Stay healthy and safe and keep those needles clicking!
