Good morning lovely knitters!  I'm actually writing this Friday night (you'd think I would be ahead of the game more often, but it isn't usually the case!) because I'm hoping to have a too busy Saturday morning to write!  After a VERY long year of doctor's appts, treatments, and all sorts of fun, I just finished a stem cell transplant and think I'll be released tomorrow (or today, as you read it)!  Yay!!!  It finally feels like I'm getting there and will be back with you all soon.  With fall creeping around the corner, I'm really craving being in the shop with you all!  I still have a little time to go - to rebuild ye olde immune system, but the time is in sight and I'm so excited!  I can't thank you all enough for all of your support during this hideous year!  You are all so wonderful and it isn't the first time I've felt super grateful to have the best group of knitters around in my corner!  I also want to mention how amazing Kim and Lisa have been!  If you have been in anytime since February, you probably know how great they are, but it is no understatement to say, that without them, Island Yarn might not be Island Yarn after all of this.  But because they jumped in with both feet and were so phenomenal, here we are!!  Ready for fall!  If you happen in soon, give them a big hug (or smile or smooch)!

Ok - there is a bit of yarny news too!  Our NEW Featured pattern is the Build Your Own Noro Hat and Scarf!  This one is so fun because it will come out different and gorgeous with any batch of colors you choose.  You can also bring a leftover skein in and grab 2 more to complement it.  We'll send you the pattern for FREE (through raverly) when you buy any 2 skeins of Noro this month (I'll have to do this manually, so bear with me if there is a little delay)!

NEW colors of Jaspeada came in this week!  I didn't get them online quite yet, so be sure to pop in and feel them up!

And don't forget the Greater Boston Yarn Crawl is September 25 through 28!  You can pop in and grab a passport and there is still time to make the crawl shawl!  It is going to be a fun weekend!  But also, as a heads up to those of you don't like crowds, make sure you come in this weekend or next!

We hope to see you soon (and I REALLY hope to see you soon, but only the blood tests will tell me when I can to do that)!
