Saturday, May the fourth be with you

Saturday, May the fourth be with you

Good morning lovely knitters!  It looks like we have a gorgeous day ahead!  Aja would not be pleased if I didn't say it, so...May the fourth be with you!

We've got LOTS this week!  New yarns, the chicken KAL - and something even more preposterous to go with it, new yarns in the sale bin, and classes are starting TOMORROW!

Ok - I'm going to do the normal news first, but keep going if you are curious about the preposterous.

Yesterday (late - they are still in the boxes!) we got TWO NEW gorgeous yarns!

The first is PERFECT for this time of year as your knitting thoughts turn to lacey, light little scarves and tops - Mirasol Inka!  So soft and gorgeous - you are gonna want to get your paws into this one!

The next is actually kind of chunky and cozy for this time of year, but I just thought it was so gorgeous and all-purpose, we'd just bring it anyway.  I think there's a pattern coming soon for this one - super squishy Araucania Jaspeada!

To make space, we put one of my all time favorite yarns into the sale bin (this was very difficult - there were almost tears)!  Make sure you snap up some Alpaca Moda before it is gone forever!

We also have a NEW FEATURED pattern for May!  We updated this kit with 8 new colorsets AND added a hat pattern to make it a set!  This is one of the most fun stitch patterns in existence - and slightly addictive!  Check out our Couscous Cowl and Hat set!

We had an amazing performance from Mooney in our last podcast - did you see it?

Sweater Club starts TOMORROW!  Don't miss it, sign up today and pop in to get your supplies.

And don't forget to come in a grab some yarn for our Emotional Support Chicken KAL.  I know you want to make one and do you know how I know?  Every time anyone sees one of these, they smile and/or laugh.  Isn't that something we all need in our lives right now?  And I BET that at least some of you have a friend that could use a little lift - it is the perfect quick-to-knit gift that will definitely perk them up!

And that leads to - the preposterous.  So, this week, I was working on another pattern and I pulled it out to do a few rows and someone told me it looked like a bra!  (It was not a bra.)  That made me giggle a quite a bit, but I wondered - a bra for WHO?  And there, out of the corner of my eye was Gladys, just watching and waiting.  And yuh know what, it fit Gladys perfectly which made me giggle even more.  And so, we decided that maybe Gladys needed a bikini.  Yup - that's right.  You might think it is odd to knit a chicken, but maybe once you're on that path, knitting a chicken bikini is just the next natural step in madness.  (And just for reference, yes, it is possible that I've gone right over the edge this week - come join me!)  So - we present to you a little free pattern -
