Good morning lovely knitters! What a beautiful weekend that we have ahead! I am going to spend some nice time with my knitting and a glass of wine in the backyard! But first, since we're open today....
I know of at least a FEW people who are already going to be doing this very thing today - Beach knitting! I've taken all manner of things to the beach, but like beach reading, sometimes it is best to have something that is light, easy and fun! Here's a couple of perfect ideas!
First is our gorgeous and fun Stripe Me Calm scarf!

This scarf is made with 2 skeins of Juniper Moon Farm Cumulus Stripes! And guess what - here's the pattern! No need to download or go looking anywhere. It is a simple mistake rib - which is one of my all time favorite simple patterns.
Stripe Me Calm
Size 7 or 8 needles
2 Balls Juniper Moon Farm Cumulus Stripes
CO 41 sts.
Row 1: (K3, P1) to last stitch, K1
Repeat row 1 until you have just enough yarn to bind off (about a yard to be safe). BO all sts loosely.
And of course, there are a multitude of easy projects that come with your Mad Ball! Taking just one skein to the beach is the best - there's already enough lugging with towels, toys, snacks, drinks and everything else, so just one ball projects are great! Maybe a Random Ridge

Or a Mad Ball Capelet?

And if you want something super mindless, but oh so pretty - maybe grab a Monet kit! Hazy, pretty stockinette to keep your hands busy as you watch the water!

For the crocheters - this is about your last chance to grab a Posy Blanket kit before the Sonata prices go up, so snatch it up!

And just a little question for you guys. If you are local - I'm in a quandary about July 4th. It falls on Saturday, but observed on the Friday. I can't decide if I should close the 3rd or the 4th or both? Any thoughts?
And I guess that's it for today! I hope to see your gorgeous face on this gorgeous day!
