Good morning lovely knitters! It looks like we're gonna get pretty buried the next couple of days! Do you have your snow day projects all set? (Like packing for a trip, it IS the most important this to get ready!) If not, make sure you pop in today between 12 to 5, so that you'll be sure to have a cozy, fun snow day! It might be just the time to get your Big Gay Sweater or Eloise cast on! These cozy sweaters are so warm and comfy and fun to make!
Just a heads up, classes are (shockingly, I know) cancelled tomorrow. No risking your life for a dropped stitch, ok!? You guys can check in with Laura to work out a make-up session! But Learn to Knit and Beginner Crochet start this Friday! There are only 1 or 2 spots left so don't delay!
We had a nice, gorgeous batch of NEW Mad Balls this week! Yummy!
And, it looks like the Melt the Ice Hat is emerging as a nice resistance knit! If you want to knit one (or loads) up and show your solidarity, you can find the pattern here (knit) or here (crochet). And grab some red yarn! We have plenty of Classic and Classic Superwash in red and I'll plan to dye some Kraken next week for a more luxury hat!
We also got a gorgeous NEW yarn - Juniper Moon Glimmer has the sparkly happiness to cheer us all up!
And just a reminder, I used to have a little list of people who would "knit or crochet" for hire because I periodically get people asking to buy samples, or have something knit or finished for them. It has been a while, so I think the list is pretty defunct. If you would like to be on such a list, email me and I'll send you a little questionaire, so that if needed, we'll be able to match you with the right request. Once we refer someone to you - it is out of our hands. You decide the payment/terms/timeline, etc... It seems like its just a nice way to connect the uncrafty of the world with the compulsive yarners!
